Victor Deupi is a Cuban-American teacher of architectural history, visual culture, and design with several years’ experience in practice as well as academia. He received a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Virginia, a Master of Architecture from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Presently, he teaches architecture and art history in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Fairfield University, and at the School of Architecture and Design at the New York Institute of Technology. He has taught previously at the University of Notre Dame, the Prince of Wales’s Institute of Architecture in London, and has been a “Distinguished Visiting Critic” at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, and the College of Architecture at Georgia Tech. The principal focus of his research is the art and architecture of the Ibero-American World, the New Urbanism, and the humanities underpinning the classical tradition.
